TARGET is exiting Canada where it has 133 stores and about 17,600 employees.
CHAIRMAN and CEO Brian Cornell said on Thursday that the company was unable to find a realistic scenario in which Target Canada would become profitable before at least 2021.
The retailer said it anticipates approximately $US5.4 billion ($A5.84 billion) in fourth-quarter losses from discontinued operations in Canada.
