THE final fugitive suspect in the murder of an Australian businessman in Bali has been shot and apprehended.
A MAN named Marten was captured in Sumba, an island east of Bali, early on Tuesday morning, Bali detective Pande Sugiarta says.
"He was hiding in a villager's house. He tried to fight back using a sharp weapon, so we had to shoot him in his right leg."Marten is the eighth person arrested for the murder of Robert Ellis, 60, in October.Among them are his wife of 25 years, Noor Ellis, who allegedly ordered the hit.Marten is being transferred along with Adolf Malo Rangga, 34, who was arrested in Sumba on Saturday night. The six others - Ms Noor, her two maids, one of the maid's boyfriends, and two other men - all face charges carrying the death penalty.Police allege Mr Ellis was killed in the kitchen of his Sanur villa before his body was wrapped in plastic and dumped in a ditch.Ms Noor paid Rp150 million ($A14,220) to "solve her problems" and is expected to be brought to trial next month.Anda sedang membaca artikel tentang
